Description: “Alfabeto Urbano” is a project in the field of micro-regeneration, a participatory process of cultural and urban regeneration, with open and co-designed workshops generating new forms of active community in District 5 of the city of Turin. The goal is to increase the area's cultural services by creating a shared “urban alphabet” that represents a connection between different cultures through music, creativity, and theater workshops to find a new way to experience the school and neighborhood public spaces. FirstLife platform helps to make visible and network the places and realities in the area that are significant for citizen participation in neighborhood life.
Location: The project is developed in District 5 “Borgo Vittoria, Madonna di Campagna, Lucento, Vallette” of the city of Turin (IT).
Period: 2019-2020

Users contribution description: Users actively participate in this process of cultural and urban regeneration by mapping, through the open source FirstLife platform, significant places that could be the subject for micro-regeneration actions.
