Energy Communities
Description: A network for energy communities offering equity services. An “Energy Community” is a cooperative aiming to promote the social and solidarity economy and innovation in the energy sector, to address energy poverty and to promote sustainable energy production, storage, energy management, self-consumption, distribution and energy supply, as well as to enhance energy self-sufficiency and security.
Location: The project is developed in Greece (GR).
Period: 2021-ongoing
Partners: Several greek energy communities around the country.
Users contribution description: Through the Synergy platform (https://synergy-kit.io), an open-source toolkit, users can co-design services and organize and contribute to the activities of energy communities.
