Description: The carpooling app, Mobiliti, is used by Howest in a project that aims to improve trust in carpooling by creating a closed network consisting of the companies of the De Prijkels business park and the temporary employment agency Actief Interim in Flanders. The users of the Mobiliti App will be on the one hand the employees of the De Prijkels business park companies and on the other hand the temporary workers of Actief Interim. The users will be added to the Mobiliti platform by the business park companies and Actief Interim.
De Prijkels business park is difficult to reach if one wants to make a sustainable mobility choice. Most employees only travel to work daily by car. For the target group of students and graduates who do an internship, apply dual learning (combined learning and work) or want to work on an industrial site, accessibility is a big problem. The absence of an adequate public transport offer, the lack of a driving licence or a car are only some of the causes. With the Mobiliti App, the aim is to connect the target group with mobility needs safely with the offer of transport. The business area thus becomes accessible for these young people and the companies themselves can more easily attract the right workforce.
Location: The project operates in the “De Prijkels” business park (BE).
Period: 2021-2022
Partners: BLING - BLockchain IN Government (BE), the Howest University of Applied Science and Arts (BE), the City of Deinze (BE), Actief (BE) and De Prijkels ASBL (BE).
Users contribution description: Through the Mobiliti carpooling app, users can offer and find safe shared mobility solutions.
